Frequency converters

Frequency converters are used to vary the base frequency of the network (50Hz), causing the speed of the asynchronous motor to vary.
Mono / tri variators also convert 220V mono into 220V three-phase, power from 0.4Kw to 5.5Kw.

1. Standard:

Standard application with direction of rotation and speed control by remote contacts and potentiometer.

2. Direct start:

Motor rotation as soon as the drive is powered up for applications requiring continuous operation or restarting after a power cut. (Examples: ventilation or pumping).

3. Compressor:

Starting and stopping of the motor by the electrical contact of the original pressure switch.

4. Drawbridge:

To use a vehicle lift with a three-phase 380V motor on a domestic installation.
The principle is to use the motor with the triangle coupling (220V). The frequency converter transforms 220V mono into 220V three-phase.

Important note:
This principle is particularly well suited to lifts equipped with a hydraulic unit.
For column bridges, pay attention to the engine power. Some axles (FOG) require a very high torque when starting. It is strongly recommended to use a 5.5 kw drive: VFR-091M2-05K5 for these very demanding applications.

5. Tower:

Control of 2 directions of rotation and stop by impulse.
Possibility of controlling a motor brake with lack of current.
Possibility of injecting direct current into the motor at the end of deceleration in order to freeze the rotation shaft.
