Schneider Electric’s range of wireless and battery-less XB5R plastic and XB4R pushbuttons are used for various building equipment (automatic doors, lighting, etc.) and in various industries (conveying, automotive, metallurgy and mining , logistics, agrifood).
This range incorporates 2 types of devices (transmitter and receiver) which communicate via a 2.4 GHz radio transmission (free world band).

Presentation
Simplified installation
- Reduced costs and installation times.
- No configuration necessary thanks to the plug-and-play ready-to-use solution.
- Unlimited mobility around the machine or process.
- Ideal solution when you need to add or relocate a control function.

Easy maintenance
- No battery maintenance: a product always available.
- Optimal availability of control functions.
- Ecological green technology.
- Minimization of maintenance after installation.

Designed for industrial environments and with proven reliability
- High resistance to dust penetration (no cable entry).
- No cable likely to be damaged and problem of loosening the screws on the transmitter.
- Ø 22 mm control head sold in plastic (ZB5) and metal (ZB4) and a black “mushroom” push button Ø 40 mm for use with gloves.
- For automatic doors, the pull switch control can be installed anywhere.
- Suitable for the most demanding environments, depending on the model, degree of protection up to IP66, for outdoor use in temperatures between – 25 and 70 ° C.

Guaranteed performance depending on the distance
- Range of 25 m when the receiver is installed in a metal electrical cabinet.
- Extended to more than 250 m thanks to the use of an external relay antenna with the receiver installed in a metal electrical cabinet.
- 100 m in free space.

A universal range
- Individual products and ready-to-use packs.
- Designed to meet the needs of your most common applications.
- Easy to order thanks to a single reference.
- Easy to install, the transmitter and receiver are pre-programmed at the factory.

ZBRN1 and ZBRN2 access points for wireless and battery-less pushbuttons
The wireless and battery-free pushbutton access points of the Harmony range are used for various building equipment (automatic doors, lighting, etc.) and in various sectors of activity (conveying, automotive, metallurgy and mining, logistics, agrifood, surveillance
industrial equipment). These units communicate via 2.4 GHz radio transmission (worldwide free band).
Non-intrusive installation
- Reduced costs and installation times.
- Unlimited mobility around the machine or process.
- Ideal solution when you need to add or relocate a monitoring function.

Guaranteed performance
The possible distance (1) between a transmitter and the Harmony access point is approximately:
- 100 m in free field,
- 250 m if a relay antenna is located between the transmitter and the Harmony access point (installed in a metal box or a closed metal cabinet),
- 60 m if an external antenna is connected to the Harmony access point,
- 25 m if the Harmony access point is installed in a metal box or a closed metal cabinet.

Seamless integration
Integration with an industrial PC (IT / OT box) via an Ethernet link with 2 RJ45 ports.

Magelis iPC and Edge Box use Node-RED to wire devices over the industrial Internet of Things. Node-RED is a simple, open source graphical programming tool for designing communication data flows between OT and IT.
To enable connectivity to the EcoStruxure platform, you must have an industrial PC (IT / OT box) to push the collected physical signals and establish immediate access to relevant data.
This data-driven approach helps improve business productivity and efficiency.
Compatible Schneider Electric commercial references: HMIBMO.

Architecture solutions
- Call for maintenance on the EcoStruxure architecture.

With Harmony access points, several use cases are possible:
• Push button for maintenance request, material request, finished product request and final product inspection request.
• Easy opening of internal automatic doors.
• Identification of the source in case of activation of an Emergency Stop.
• Help operators react quickly in the event of an anomaly.
• Identification of anomalies with the predefined threshold.
